Latest version is 0.53.
ChangeLog
README
Features
- Backups are automatic, you configure when (every sync, daily,
weekly, or monthly)
- Multiple archives may be kept, from 1 to 99, providing a
snapshot of your PDA at every backup
- Configure which applications/databases to backup and which to
ignore
- Only changed databases are downloaded from the PDA. Hardlinks
are created for Databases which have not changed since the previous
backup, saving both sync time and disk space.
Important Notes
- GTK2 support was added as an experimental option to J-Pilot
0.99.4. If you have enabled GTK2 support in J-Pilot, then you must
also enable GTK2 support in jpilot-backup. The converse is also
true: if you did not enable GTK2 support in J-Pilot, then you must
not enable it for jpilot-backup. You can tell whether J-Pilot has
GTK2 support enabled by clicking
Help then
J-Pilot.
- If you upgrade pilot-link (or, more specifically, libpisock),
you must ensure that J-Pilot and all plugins are built
against the same version of libpisock.
- There are some issues with GDBM and NFS. If your home directory
is an NFS mount, please read README.NFS.
Requirements
- J-Pilot version 0.99.2 or
greater.
- GDBM -- The GNU database manager. This comes with most linux
distributions, but if for some reason you don't have it, get it
from any GNU mirror.
